아시안 게임, 그리고 남과 북 - Asian Games, and South and North Korea

트래비스 킹을 미국으로 돌려보낼 때도 그들에게 더 이상 한국은 대화 상대가 아니었다.

김정은의 대외적인 행보, 핵을 헌법에 명시하면서 드러나는 그들의 속내는,

더 이상 남과 북은 결코 하나가 될 수 없음을 보여주었다.

러시아와의 무기 거래, 끊임 없는 사이버 해킹, 그들의 독자적 생존 노선 속에 또 어떤 것이 들어있을까.

북한은 아시안 게임을 중계하면서 대한민국을 '괴뢰'라고 표현했다.

사실, '괴뢰'라는 표현이 생소한 것은 아니다. 

그 동안 우리가 북한에서 어떻게 중계하는지 상세히 알지 못했을 뿐, 그들의 당 규약 뿐 아니라 종종 내려오는 방침 속에는 

항상 '괴뢰 도당' 이 존재해 왔다.

남한을 '괴뢰 도당'이라 지칭하면서 그들은 괴뢰와 맞서 싸우는 매우 자주적인 사람들인 양 자처해왔다.

그리고 이러한 괴뢰를 만나면 '항상 준비' 하여 '무찌르자'고 배우고 익히는 곳이 북한이다.

오히려 남조선, 대한민국이란 표현이 더 낯설었던 것도 사실이다.

하지만 이러한 표현들로 엿볼수 있는 그들만의 심리는 분명히 존재한다.

대한민국 군에서 '북괴'라는 표현을 많이 써온 것이 사실이다.

이에 맞서 북한도 '남조선 괴뢰'라는 표현을 해왔다.

'괴뢰'는 형식적으로는 독립적으로 보이지만 실질적으로는 다른 세력에 종속되어 있는 것을 뜻하는데, 소련에 종속된 꼭두각시 정권, 북한을 지칭할 때 '북괴'라는 말을 쓰곤 했다.

북한은 대한민국을 미제국주의에 종속된 남조선이라고 해서 '남조선 괴로군'이라고 불렀다.

오랜 역사가 있는 표현이지만, 최근에 들어 이렇게 화면으로 만나기는 오랜만인 듯 하다.

그리고 그들이 다시 대한민국을 비꼬기 시작했다는 것도 엿볼수 있다.

이제 더 이상 그들은 대한민국과 상대할 가치가 없다는 것을 우회적으로 표현한 것인지도 모른다.

남조선, 대한민국이라 호칭하기도 싫다는 의미이기도 하다.

남과 북, 이제는 너무 먼 길을 평행선으로 달리고 있다는 생각이 든다.

북한의 최종 목적은 적화통일이지만,

그에 앞서 그들은 어엿한 핵 보유국으로 인정받기를 원하고 있다. 

그들은 나날이 그들의 전략대로 움직여가고 있다.

핵 개발, 위성 개발 및 발사, 그리고 재정적인 문제는 사이버 해킹, 핵 무기와 기술 문제는 러시아와 협력,

정치적인 문제는 중국을 통해 해결하고 있다.

They are moving according to their strategy day by day.

대한민국은 어디로, 무엇을 향해 가고 있는가?

그리고 유엔은 이번 총회를 통해 무엇을 얻었는가?

북한은 절대 그 뜻을 굽히지 않고, 나아가려 할 것이다. 

무엇을 어떻게 할수 있는지 진지하게 고려해야 함이 느껴지는 시점이다.
