Jubilee Marketplace - 한국 식료품도 함께!

오늘 소개할 곳은 Jubilee라는 Grocery store이다. 

다른 지역에도 있지만, 나는 W 68th Street에 위치한 곳에 가보았다.

사실 한국 음식 재료를 구입하고 싶을때, 거리가 있는 H-mart를 찾아가기가 쉽지 않았다.

그리고 이상하게 한국 마트를 가면 소비를 더 많이 하게되는 기분이 든다. 

아마 이것저것 반가운 마음에 너무 많이 사게 되는 지도 모르겠다.

요즘에는 일반 미국 마켓에도 한국 식료품들이 일부 있지만,

요리를 하고 싶을때는 한국 식재료가 많은 마켓을 가야한다. 

 

The place I will introduce today is a grocery store called Jubilee.
There are other locations as well, but I've been to the one located on W 68th Street.
When I wanted to buy Korean food ingredients, it wasn't easy to find H-mart, which was located far away.
And strangely, when I go to a Korean supermarket, I feel like I spend more.
Maybe I end up buying too much out of excitement.
These days, there are some Korean groceries in general American markets,
But when I want to cook, I have to go to a market with lots of Korean ingredients.

 

좀 더 많은 한국 음식재료를 찾던 중, 발견한 집 근처 Jubilee, 

이 곳에는 왠만한 한국 음식, 과일, 재료가 모두 있다.

단 한가지, 한국식 삼겹살이나 차돌박이와 같은 고기들은 별로 없지만,

스케이크나 국거리용 고기들을 충분하다.

최근에는 추운날씨 탓에 유자청과 생강청을 사러 갔는데,

역시 이곳에서 찾을수 있었다.

 

While looking for more Korean food ingredients, I found Jubilee near my house,
This place has all kinds of Korean food, fruits, and ingredients.
The only thing is, there are not many meats such as Korean-style pork belly or brisket,
There is enough meat for steaks and soups.
Recently, because of the cold weather, I went to buy citron and ginger syrup.

한국 음식의 인기가 점점 높아지고 있는 것을 실감할 수 있었다.

건강한 한국 음식이 많이 전파되는 것은 좋은 일인듯 하다.

앞으로도 더 많은 가게들에서 한국 음식, 한국 식료품을 마주할 수 있길 기대한다.

 

I could feel that the popularity of Korean food was increasing.
It seems like a good thing that healthy Korean food is being spread widely.
I look forward to seeing Korean food and Korean groceries in more stores in the future.
