Coney Island in Manhattan - 맨하탄 인근 바닷가

오늘은 맨하탄에서 1시간 거리에 떨어진 Coney Island를 소개해 보고자 한다.

맨하탄 양옆으로 East River와 Hudson River가 자리하고 있지만, 

여름이 되면 또 다시 바닷가가 그리워진다.

그래서 맨하탄에서 쉽게 갈수 있는 가까운 바다가 어디인지를 찾아보다가

지하철, 버스로 한번에 갈수 있는 Coney Island를 다녀왔다. 

Coney Island는 Q, D, N 라인 지하철과 X28 버스로 한번에 편안히 다녀올 수 있다.

 

Today, I would like to introduce Coney Island, an hour away from Manhattan.

When summer comes, I miss the beach again.
So, I was looking for a nearby sea that I could easily go to from Manhattan.
I went to Coney Island, which can be reached by subway and bus at once.
Coney Island can be comfortably reached at once by the Q, D, N subway lines and the X28 bus.

바닷가

자동차가 없더라도 쉽게 대중교통으로 갈수 있다는 점이 가장 큰 장점인 듯 하다.

지하철은 $2.9 이지만, 버스는 $7이라는 점! 하지만 고속버스와 같은 버스라서 푹신한 쿠션의자로 1시간을 갈수 있다.

그리고 시원하게 펼쳐진 바다와 바로 옆에 있는 놀이동산, 그리고 아쿠아리움까지 볼거리가 다양한 점도 매력적이다.

놀이동산은 가보진 않았지만, 좋아하는 사람들은 얼마든지 가서 즐길수 있을 것 같다.

아쿠아리움은 다음 포스팅에 소개하고자 한다.

갈매기 떼가 많은데 저렇게 줄지어 앉아 있는 모습이 신기해보였다. 

 

Even if you don't have a car, the biggest advantage is that you can easily get there by public transportation.

The subway is $2.9, but the bus is $7! 

However, since it is a bus like an express bus, you can go for an hour on a soft cushion chair.
In addition, it is also attractive that there are various things to see, including the cool open sea, an amusement park right next to it, and an aquarium.
I haven't been to the amusement park, but I think people who like it can go and enjoy it.
I would like to introduce the aquarium in the next post.
There were a lot of seagulls, but it seemed strange to see them sitting in a row like that.

 

여름 막바지에 가본 바다이지만 여전히 사람들도 많고,

아직까지 막바지 피서를 즐기기엔 충분해 보였다.

가족들, 그리고 연인들, 친구들.. 모두들 함께 바다를 느끼는 이 순간들이 행복해보였다.

끝없이 펼쳐진 바다를 보고 있으면, 아무런 생각이 들지 않는다.

짭조름한 바다 냄새, 그리고 바람, 파도소리..

힐링의 공간이다.

다음에도 시간이 날때마다 와서 짠내를 가득 느끼고 싶다.

 

I went to the sea at the end of summer, but there are still many people,
So far, it seemed to be enough to enjoy the last summer vacation.
Families, couples, friends... Everyone seemed happy in these moments of feeling the sea together.
When I look at the endless sea, I can't think of anything.
The salty smell of the sea, and the sound of the wind and waves...
It is a space of healing.
Next time, whenever I have time, I want to come and feel the saltiness.
