새로운 취미거리 양궁(Archery)!

미국에 와서 새로운 취미거리를 찾던 중 발견한 양궁!

맨하탄에는 찾고자 한다면 뭐든지 찾아서 할수 있는 즐길거리들이 많이 있다.

Intro class를 온라인으로 예약하면 $45, walk-in으로 가면 $50이다.

한 시간 정도 진행되는데 기본적인 스킬을 알려주고 연습하고 게임을 하는 방식이다.

게임에서 1등을 하면 그날그날 다른 선물을 주곤한다.

I found archery while looking for a hobby after coming to the United States!
There are so many things to do in Manhattan that you can find anything you want to do.
The intro class is $45 if you book online, or $50 if you go walk in.
It lasts about an hour, and it is a way to teach basic skills, practice, and play games.
If you win first place in a game, they give you a different gift that day.

색다른 체험이지만 재미있었다.

처음 만난 사람들과 게임을 하는 것도, 새로운 양궁을 배우는 것도 새로운 경험이었다.

45불의 값어치가 있었다고 할까.

가끔 들러서 해보는 것도 좋을 것 같다.

내가 갔던 곳은 차이나 타운 근처의 https://www.got-archery.com/ 고담 양궁(Gotham Archery) 이다.

시설도 깔끔하고 스태프들이 얼마나 친절한지..

그리고 위험한 운동이기도 하기 때문에 항상 안전지시사항을 잘 따라야 한다.

절대로 절대로! 스태프들이 말하기 전에 먼저 쏘거나 해서는 안된다.

보호장구와 모든 것은 시설에서 제공해준다.

의외로 양궁을 취미로 하는 사람도 많고 자신의 활을 가지고 다니는 사람도 많았다.

 

It was a different experience, but it was fun.
Playing games with new people and learning new archery were new experiences.
I think it was worth the $45.
It would be nice to drop in and try it sometime.

The facilities are clean and the staff is so friendly.
It is also a dangerous sport, so you should always follow the safety instructions.
Never ever! Do not shoot before the staff speaks.
Protective gear and everything are provided by the facility.
Surprisingly, there were many people who took up archery as a hobby, and many people who brought their own bows.
