미주리 세인트 루이스 먹거리 찾기 1(St. Louis in Missouri)

처음 미주리 세인트루이스에 도착했을 때 나의 느낌은 "여기..뭐지? 너무 으스스한데..."

차가 없으면 불편한 거리거리..그리고 찾아보기 힘든 시내와 맛집들..

많은 걱정이 앞섰다.

하지만 그래도 여기에 익숙해지면 나름 맛있는 음식점과 한국 음식점도 곳곳에서 찾을 수 있다.

 

When I first arrived in St. Louis, Missouri, my feeling was, "Here..what is it? It's so spooky..."
Inconvenient streets without a car.. And the city and restaurants that are hard to find..
A lot of worries ahead.
However, once you get used to it, you can find delicious restaurants and Korean restaurants everywhere.

 

1. Fried Ravioli (라비올리)                                                                                                                                                       세인트 루이스에서 흔히 만날 수 있는 간식거리 중 하나이다.   

라이올리는 이탈리아 음식이지만, Fried Ravioli 우리가 흔히 먹어본 크리미한 라비올리나 스파케티와 달리 아주 담백하고 바삭한 식감이 다른 라비올리와 다르다. 햄버거 가게나 카페 등 많은 곳에서 이 라비올리를 맛볼수 있다.

마트에도 냉동으로 된 제품이 있다.

 

It is one of the common snacks in St. Louis.
Raioli is an Italian food, but Fried Ravioli is different from other ravioli in that it has a very light and crispy texture, unlike the creamy ravioli or spaghetti we commonly eat. You can taste this ravioli in many places such as hamburger shops and cafes.
The supermarket also has frozen products.

2. Duffy's Pub and Grill

내가 좋아하던 Pub 중 하나이다.

자유로운 분위기와 흔한 로컬푸드 이지만 큼지막한 햄버거와 푸짐한 감자튀김은 한끼 식사로 충분하다. 

뭔가 아주 특별한 것은 없지만, 미국의 수제 햄버거의 맛이랄까..

나는 평범한 것이 가장 미국스럽다고 느낀다. 한번쯤 이 가게를 발견한다면 들러보는 것도 좋을 듯 하다.

 

One of my favorite pubs.
Although it is a casual atmosphere and common local food, a large hamburger and hearty French fries are enough for 

one meal.
There's nothing very special about it, but it's like the taste of American homemade hamburgers.
I feel that the ordinary is the most American. If you find this store once, it would be nice to stop by.

 

3. Taco Diego's! - "Diego's Cantina" 

이 곳은 우연히 세차를 위해 차를 맡기고 길을 둘러보다 발견한 곳이다.

친구 중 Diego라는 친구가 있어 가게를 발견하고는 한참 장난스레 사진을 보내다 음식을 맛보고 정말! 감동받았다.

이곳의 타코는 흔히 먹어본 타코와는 좀 다르다.

양이 많지는 않지만 신선한 샐러드와 야채, 그리고 시그니처 소스가 일품이다.

타코를 싫어하는 사람들도 거부감 없이 즐길수 있는 소스가 있다. 

아삭한 야채들과 달콤 매콤한 소스들, 뭔가 색다른 맛이 있는 타코! 타코를 처음 즐겨보는 사람들이라면 한번쯤 시도해 볼만 하다.

 

This place was discovered by chance after leaving the car for a car wash and looking around the road.
Among my friends, there is a friend named Diego. He discovered the store and playfully sent photos for a while, then tasted the food, and really! I was impressed.
The tacos here are a bit different from the tacos you usually eat.
Although the portions are not large, fresh salads, vegetables, and signature sauces are excellent.
There is a sauce that even those who hate tacos can enjoy without hesitation.
Crunchy vegetables, sweet and spicy sauce, tacos with something different!

f you're new to tacos, it's worth giving it a try.
