Saigon Shake

오늘 소개할 곳은 맨하탄 114 MacDougal St, New York, NY 10012에 위치한 

"Saigon Shake" 이라는 베트남 음식점이다.

 

The place I'm introducing today is a Vietnamese restaurant called "Saigon Shake" located at 114 MacDougal St, New York, NY 10012 in Manhattan.

 

 

그렇게 크지 않은 내부지만,

항상 많은 사람들도 가득차 있다.

그만큼 인기있는 곳이고 음식 또한 그만큼 맛있었다.

 

에피타이저로 주문한 스프링롤과 고구마 튀김은 정말 맛있었다.

맥주를 부르는 맛이었지만,

아쉽게도 알콜 음료를 판매하지 않는다. 

 

Although the interior is not that big,
it is always full of people.
It is a popular place and the food is delicious.

The spring rolls and sweet potato fries I ordered as appetizers were really delicious.
It was a taste that called for beer,
but unfortunately, they do not sell alcoholic beverages.

 

 

포(pho)는 역시, 이집의 이름을 딴 기본 메뉴가 최고인 듯 하다.

물론 그냥 클래식도 있지만 나는 가게 이름을 딴 메뉴를 선호한다.

그 만큼 이 가게만의 자신있는 대표 메뉴일 것이라는 기대 때문이다.

그리고 이가게는 오직  cash 만 받는다.

이 때문에 조금 당황하기도 했지만, 합리적인 가격에 그럴수 있다고 인정하기로 했다. 

 

As for pho, it seems that the basic menu named after the restaurant is the best.
Of course, there are just the classics, but I prefer the menu named after the restaurant.
That's because I expect it to be the restaurant's signature dish.
And this restaurant only accepts cash.
I was a little taken aback by this, but I decided to accept that it was reasonable for the price.

 

쌀국수, 포가 생각나는 날 이곳을 들러보는 것도 좋을 듯 하다.

다만, cash를 반드시 챙겨가야 한다는 점을 기억해야 한다.

 

It would be nice to stop by here on a day when you crave rice noodles or pho.
However, you should remember to bring cash.
