ARIARI in Manhattan

오늘 소개할 레스토랑은 맨하탄 119 1st Ave., New York, NY 10003에 위치한 "ARIARI" 라는 한국식 횟집이다.

이 곳은 한국의 '부산'을 소개하는 식당으로

'아리아리'라는 말은 '없는 길을 찾아주거나 막힌 길을 뚫어준다'는 뜻의 순우리말이다.

식당 홈페이지에는 'Pave your own way(너만의 길을 개척하라)' 로 표현되어 있다. 

식당 안에도 부산의 지도와 부산을 카테고리로 한 인테리어가 인상적이었다.

This is a restaurant that introduces Korea’s ‘Busan’.
The word 'Ari Ari' is a pure Korean word meaning 'to find a path that does not exist or to clear a blocked path.'
On the restaurant's website, it is expressed as 'Pave your own way.'
Inside the restaurant, the map of Busan and the interior with Busan as the category were impressive.

 

 

메뉴들도 매우 독특하다.

솔직히 부산을 대표하는 메뉴들 이라고는 할수 없지만,

맨하탄에서 유일하게 쌈을 싸먹는 '막회'가 있고, 

부산을 대표하는 '대선' 소주가 있다는 점이 여느 다른 가게와 다르다.

 

The menus are also very unique.
To be honest, I can't say that these are the menu items that represent Busan.
There is ‘Makhoe’, the only place in Manhattan where you can eat wrapped ssam,
It is different from other stores in that it carries Busan's representative 'Daeseon' soju.

 

 

하지만 미국 답지 않은 적은 양에 솔직히 조금 놀랐다.

그래도 1인분 기준이라면 나쁘지 않은 가격이었다.

연어회국수의 경우 막걸리 샤베트가 베이스라는 점이 매우 특이했다.

그리고 소고기 수육도 전골처럼 나오는 것이 매우 좋았다.

매운탕도 한국식 맛이라 만족스러웠다. 

 

However, I was honestly a little surprised by the small amount, which is not typical of the United States.
Still, it wasn't a bad price for one person.
In the case of salmon raw noodles, it was very unique that makgeolli sherbet was the base.
I also really liked how the boiled beef was served like a hot pot.
I was satisfied with the spicy stew because it tasted like Korean food.

 

 

가게가 크지 않은 탓에 예약은 필수이다.

메뉴를 하나하나 맛보고 싶은 생각이 들었다.

한국식 횟집이 생각날 때 다시 들러보고 싶은 가게이다.

 

Because the store is not large, reservations are essential.
I wanted to taste every single thing on the menu.
This is a store I want to visit again when I feel like a Korean-style raw fish restaurant.
