카네기 홀 - Carnegie Hall

뉴욕 맨하탄의 한 중간에 위치한  Carnegie Hall, 881 7th Ave, New York, NY 10019.

이곳은 역사적으로 매우 의미 있는 콘서트 홀이다.

뉴욕에는 현대적인 많은 콘서트 홀들도 있지만 100여년이 넘은 이 곳은 여전히 장르를 불문하고 가장 유명한 음악가들이 자리하는 곳이다.

This is a historically significant concert hall.
There are many modern concert halls in New York, but this over 100-year-old venue still hosts some of the most famous musicians of all genres.

 

오래된 역사에 비해 티켓의 가격은 그리 비싸지 않다.

유명한 오케스트라 공연을 역사적인 공간에서 즐기고자 한다면 이곳에 꼭 한번 들러보길 추천한다.

발코니에 앉게되어 정중앙에서 즐기지는 못했지만, 박스 넘버를 따라가서 발코니에 앉아본 것도 특별한 경험이었다.

Since I was sitting on the balcony, I couldn't enjoy it in the exact center, but following the box number and sitting on the balcony was a special experience.

이날 하프반주에 맞춘 성악이 있어 하프를 보게되었다. 

실제로 하프를 보고 그 소리를 듣는 것은 처음이었는데 정말 아름다웠다.

피아노 소리와 비슷하면서도 훨씬 부드럽고 끊임이 없고 물결같은 하프 특유의 소리가 '아, 이게 하프구나' 싶었다.

 

On this day, there was vocal music accompanied by a harp, so I got to see the harp.
It was my first time actually seeing and hearing the sound of a harp, and it was truly beautiful.
The unique sound of the harp was similar to that of a piano but much softer, uninterrupted, and wave-like.

I thought, 'Ah, this is a harp.'

 

카네기 홀 티켓은 이렇게 생겼다.

나는 아이 학교를 통해 무료로 티켓을 받았지만 대부분 좋은 자리 티켓도 그렇게 비싸지는 않다.

교향악이나 오케스트라를 좋아하지 않더라도, 100년의 시대를 거슬러 영화에서만 보던 장면 속에 한번 쯤 들어가 보는 것도 정말 좋은 경험이 될 것이다.

I got free tickets through my child's school, but most tickets for good seats aren't that expensive.
Even if you don't like symphonies or orchestras, it would be a great experience to go back 100 years and experience scenes you've only seen in movies.
