Momofuku noodle bar - 콜럼버스 circle

콜럼버스 Circle에는 여러가지 샵들이 함께 입점해 있는 쇼핑"몰"이 있다.

다른 주들과 달리, 뉴욕시티, 특히 맨하탄에는 좁은 땅과 비싼 월세 때문인지 높고 좁은 건물들이 많고

캘리포니아나 다른 주들에서 흔히 볼수 있는 쇼핑 '몰', 아울렛은 잘 없다.

그나마 유명백화점들, Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's 등이 주를 이룬다.

콜럼버스 써클에는 Nordstrom이 있지만, 다양한 샵들이 모여있는 쇼핑 '몰'이 있다. 

H&M부터 Rolex 등 명품샵, 그리고 디자이너 편집샵들, 각종 레스토랑까지 다양하게 모여있다. 

 

Columbus Circle has a shopping "mall" with various shops.
Unlike other states, New York City, especially Manhattan, has many tall and narrow buildings, possibly due to narrow land space and high monthly rent.
There are no shopping malls or outlets that are common in California and other states.
The main ones are famous department stores such as Macy's, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale's.
There is a Nordstrom in Columbus Circle, but there is also a shopping 'mall' with a variety of shops.
There are a variety of luxury stores such as H&M and Rolex, designer select shops, and various restaurants.

 

많은 식당들 중에 라면이 먹고싶어 들른 Momofuku, 아무런 정보없이 들어갔지만 일본 정통 생라면을 느낄수 있었다.

Among the many restaurants, I wanted to eat ramen so I stopped by Momofuku. 

Although I went in without any information, I was able to taste authentic Japanese raw ramen.

Smoke Pork 라면

Smoke Pork 라면은 우리가 한번 쯤 맛본 적이 있을 일본 돼지고기 육수 생라면의 기본 맛이라고 할까

다만 듬뿍 들어간 파채가 느끼함을 줄여줘서 좋았다.

그리고 빨간 양념이 적당히 매웠는데 한국인이나 일본인에게는 별로 매운 맛이 아니었을 것 같은데 

미국 사람들에게는 매운 듯 보였다.

 

Smoke Pork Ramen is the basic flavor of raw Japanese pork broth ramen that we have all tasted at least once.
However, it was nice that the generous amount of green onions reduced the greasiness.
And the red sauce was moderately spicy, but I don't think it would have been very spicy to Koreans or Japanese, but it seemed spicy to Americans.  

치킨 갈릭 라면

치킨 갈릭 라면은 정말 깔끔한 맛이었다.

개인적으로 나는 이 국물이 훨씬좋았다. 

담백하고 깔끔한 치킨 육수가 정말 맛있었다. 

 

Chicken Garlic Ramen had a really refreshing taste.
Personally, I liked this soup much better.
The light and clean chicken broth was really delicious.

디저트 샤벳

그리고 디저트로 시킨 아이스크림은 바닐라 샤벳이었는데 매우 시원하고 맛있었다.

가루는 초코가 아닌데 고소했다. 알갱이들은 땅콩 같았다.

 

아무튼 일본 라면을 간단히 즐기기 위한 noodle bar로 강추 하고 싶다.

 

And the ice cream I ordered for dessert was vanilla sherbet, and it was very refreshing and delicious.
The powder was savory even though it wasn't chocolate. The grains looked like peanuts.
Anyway, I would like to strongly recommend it as a noodle bar for simply enjoying Japanese ramen.
