맨하탄 플리 마켓!(Flea market!)

아직 맨하탄에 온지 그리 오래되지 않아서 플리 마켓이 이렇게나 다양하게 많은지 몰랐다.

내가 사는 곳 근처에서 갑자기 플리마켓이 열려서 구경하게 되었는데,

이곳은 여기 저기 옮겨다니면서 하는 플리 마켓으로 매주 장소가 변경된다고 한다.

 물론 고정적으로 열리는 플리 마켓도 많다.

 

It hadn't been that long since I had been to Manhattan, so I didn't know there were so many flea markets.
A flea market suddenly opened near where I live and I went to see it.
This is a flea market that moves here and there, and the location changes every week.
Of course, there are also many flea markets that are held regularly.

맨하탄 이스트 사이드에서 열린 플리마켓

미국의 플리마켓은 어떤지 기대반 설렘반이었다.

캘리포니아 곳곳에 있는 파머스 마켓은 자주 가봤지만 플리 마켓은 처음이었다.

아기자기 하면서 한국과 비슷한 풍경에 놀라웠다.

어딜가나 있는 장난감 강아지 인형..게다라 회오리 감자 까지..

회오리 감자는 어디서 시작된 걸까?

 

I was so excited about what an American flea market would be like.
I've been to farmers' markets all over California, but this was the first flea market.
I was surprised by the scenery similar to Korea while being cute.
Toy dogs and dolls are everywhere...and even whirlwind potatoes...
Where did the whirlwind potato originate?

회오리 감자

너무 늦게 간 탓에 문을 많이 닫고 정리할 시간이었지만, 

그래도 색다른 구경에 재미있었다.

경찰이 도로를 통제하고 모두들 구경하고 함께 즐기는 모습이 또다르 맨하탄의 볼거리가 아닌가 싶다.

햄버거, 타고, 소세지 등등 먹거리도 많았고 옷, 악세서리 등 아기자기한 물건들을 많이 파는 맨하탄의 플리 마켓.

주말이 심심하진 않겠다.

 

Because I went too late, it was time to close and tidy up a lot,
Still, it was fun to see something different.
I wonder if the police control the roads and everyone is watching and enjoying together is another attraction in Manhattan.
A flea market in Manhattan that sells a lot of food, such as hamburgers, rides, and sausages, as well as clothes and accessories.
The weekend won't be boring.

 

소세지 가게

다음에는 웨스트 쪽에 있는 고정된 플리마켓도 가보려고 한다.

예술의 도시, 맨하탄 답게 예술작품들도 많이 보이고 그러한 플리마켓도 다양하다.

볼거리, 먹을거리가 있는 플리마켓..

요즘은 카드도 전부 가능하지만, 그래도 이곳에 들를때는 가격들이 싸기 때문에 캐시를 준비하는 것도 좋을 듯!

맨하탄에 온다면, 다른 볼거리도 다양하지만, 정말 도시의 특색을 느껴볼수 있는 플리마켓도 한번 쯤 여행지 리스트에 넣으면 좋을 것 같다.
