NJ transit -GWB bus terminal

개인 자동차가 없는 경우,

뉴욕에서 뉴저지로, 뉴저지에서 뉴욕으로 오가는 방법은 여러가지가 있다.

강을 건너는 Ferry 부터, 여러 대중 교통을 이용해서 뉴욕과 뉴저지를 오갈 수 있다.

오늘 소개할 방법은 버스를 이용한 수단이다.

The method we will introduce today is by bus.

 

 

 

조지 워싱턴 브릿지 버스터미널은 GW bus terminal, 혹은 GWB로 표기 되는데,

맨하탄 Upper West Side, 4211 Broadway & 179th Street 에 위치하고 있다.

Marshall 이라는 쇼핑몰과 이어져 있고 지하철 A라인과 지하통로로 연결되어 있다.

주변에 지하철 1번과 버스들도 있지만 A라인이 지하로 연결되어 있다보니

날씨에 구애없이 다닐 수 있어 편한 점이 있다.

 

The George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal is written as GW bus terminal or GWB.
It is located at 4211 Broadway & 179th Street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
It is connected to a shopping mall called Marshall and is connected to subway line A and an underground passage.
There are subway lines 1 and buses nearby, but the A line is connected underground.
It is convenient because you can travel regardless of the weather.

 

터미널은 한국의 시외버스터미널과도 비슷하게 생겼는데

티켓은 터미널에서 살 수도 있지만

NJ transit App을 통해 티켓을 구매할 수 있다.

앱을 다운 받으면 아래와 같은 화면을 볼 수 있다.

 

The terminal looks similar to Korea's intercity bus terminal.
You can buy tickets at the terminal, but
You can purchase tickets through the NJ Transit App.
When you download the app, you can see the screen below.

 

Buy Tickets 탭을 통해 내가 탈 곳과 갈 곳의 노선을 찾고,

지불을 하면 티켓이 구매된다.

그리고 구매한 티켓은 inactivate 상태로 저장되는데

타기 전에 activate을 해서 탑승하면 된다.

 

Find the place you want to ride and the route you want to take through the Buy Tickets tab,
Once payment is made, the ticket is purchased.
The purchased ticket is saved in an inactivated state.
Just activate it before boarding.

 

가격도 비싸지 않기 때문에 저렴하게 뉴욕과 뉴저지를 오갈수 있다. 

뉴저지, 그리고 뉴욕의 어디를 가느냐에 따라 다르지만,

굳이 차를 렌트하거나 우버를 이용하지 않고도 대중교통을 통해 쉽게 오갈수 있다.

 

Since the price is not expensive, you can travel between New York and New Jersey inexpensively.
It depends on where you go in New Jersey and New York,
You can easily get there via public transportation without having to rent a car or use Uber.
