Central Park Boathouse

오늘은 또 다른 센트럴 파크의 재미,

Boathouse를 소개하고자 한다.

센트럴 파크 하면, 대부분 산책, 그리고 호수, 또는 공원 곳곳의 피크닉이 전부 일 것 같지만,

생각보다 다양한 놀거리가 있다.

 

Today is another Central Park fun,
I would like to introduce Boathouse.
When you think of Central Park, most people think it's about walking, the lake, or picnicking around the park.
There are more things to do than you might think.

 

 

이곳에는 노를 젓는 보트만 있다.

그래서 누군가는 노를 저어야만 한다.

미주리 포레스트 파크에는 카누부터 다양한 보트들이 있었는데,

이곳은 한가지 종류만 있다.

물론 또 통일된 보트가 가지는 아름다운 모습도 보이긴 했다.

포레스트 파크보다 호수가 크지 않아서도 있겠지만,

보트는 언제나 낭만이 있다. 

 

There are only rowing boats here.
So someone has to row.
Missouri Forest Park had a variety of boats, including canoes.
There is only one type here.
Of course, we also saw the beautiful appearance of a unified boat.
Maybe it's because the lake isn't as big as Forest Park, but
Boats are always romantic.

 

보트 하우스에는 카페와 레스토랑이 같이 있다.

보트가 떠다니는 호수를 바라보면서 식사를 즐길수 있다.

레스토랑안에는 바도 있어서 바만 이용할 수도 있다.

예약 없이 갔지만,

30분 이내로 대기 후 자리를 잡을수 있었다. 

 

The boat house has a cafe and restaurant.
You can enjoy your meal while looking at the lake where boats are floating.
There is also a bar in the restaurant, so you can just use the bar.
I went without a reservation, but
I was able to get a seat after waiting for less than 30 minutes.

 

 

 

 

우린 파스타와 버섯 요리를 시키고 Starter로 킹 쉬림프를 시켰다.

그렇게 비싸지도 저렴하지도 않은 가격이지만 식사는 매우 만족스러웠다.

고급진 레스토랑에서 먹는 것과 비슷했고,

호숫가에서 먹을 수 있어서 좋았다.

 

We ordered pasta and mushroom dishes and king shrimp as a starter.
Although the price was neither that expensive nor that cheap, the meal was very satisfying.
It was similar to eating at a fancy restaurant.
It was nice to be able to eat by the lakeside.

 

보트하우스에서 보트를 타지 않더라도 호수를 바라보면서 식사를 즐기는 것도

꽤나 운치있는 휴식이 된다.

센트럴 파크의 숨은 곳곳을 찾아보는 곳도 좋을 듯 하다.

 

Even if you are not boating at the boathouse, you can enjoy a meal while looking at the lake.
It's quite a relaxing break.
It would also be a good place to find hidden places in Central Park.
