Frieze New York!

오늘은 The Shed 에서 진행된 Frieze New York에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

나도 지인으로부터 티켓을 받아 가게 되었는데 미술관이 아닌 갤러리 쇼는 처음이었다.

허드슨 강변 Vessel 인근에 위치한 The Shed는 주소로는 545 West 30th Street에 있다.

 

Today, I would like to introduce Frieze New York held at The Shed.
I also got a ticket from an acquaintance and went to it, and it was my first time going to a gallery show other than an art museum.
The Shed, located near Vessel on the Hudson River, is located at 545 West 30th Street.

 

 

 

다양하고 멋진 작품들에 눈을 뗄수가 없었다.

각 나라별, 그리고 아티스트별로 매우 다양한 작품들이 전시되어 있었다.

당연히 한국 아티스트의 작품들도 많이 있었고,

무속신앙, 굿을 주제로 한 작품에서는 외국인들이 매우 신기해 하는 모습을 볼수 있었다. 

 

I couldn't take my eyes off the diverse and wonderful works.
A wide variety of works were on display by country and artist.
Of course, there were many works by Korean artists,
I was able to see foreigners being very amazed by the works on the theme of shamanism and gut.

 

 

펜슬로 정말 섬세하게 그린 작품까지, 

나는 예술작품들을 잘 알지 못하지만, 

보는 것만으로도 그냥 황홀한 세계의 한 중간에 서 있는 듯 했다.

 

Even works drawn very delicately with a pencil,
I don't know much about works of art, but
Just looking at it felt like I was standing in the middle of an enchanting world.

 

이런 갤러리에서 있는 시간이 너무 힐링이 되었다. 

기회가 되는대로 예술의 도시 뉴욕에서 예술을 마음껏 즐겨야 할 듯 하다.

 

Spending time in a gallery like this was very healing.
Whenever you have the chance, you should enjoy art to the fullest in New York, the city of art.
